CrossFit Update

If you have been following our new blog, you will know that I am doing CrossFit with Matt and Pam Munson of CrossFit Champions. Their workout today seemed simple enough to me. After all, I have been doing squats for years now in the Army. So, like a bonehead, I decided to go for the experienced athlete workout.  The WOD or workout of the day was “Karen”. I should have known… Here it is. 

From the CrossFit Champions Website… 

“Karen”

150 Wall Ball shots (20lb ball) for time.

Beginners: 100 Wall Ball shots with 10-12 lb ball (that’s 2/3 the reps at 1/2 the load)

If you don’t have wallballs then do Thrusters with twice the weight you would have used on Wall Balls.

No whining.  It’s not that bad.

So, I was doing the Wall Ball shots and got to 100 and felt pretty good and thought I’d go for the 150. Bad mistake…I got to 128 and fell off of the box. Man, talk about muscle failure. And I am sure I will have DOMS tomorrow. Thanks Matt and Pam! Merry Christmas! LOL! I love CrossFit!
